About The CRC Digest
About The CRC Digest
The CRC Digest is a weekly newsletter delivering curated colorectal cancer research summaries to patients, caregivers, researchers, and clinicians. Our mission is to make the latest CRC research accessible to everyone affected by colorectal cancer.
What We Do
Each week, we scan peer-reviewed journals, clinical trial registries, regulatory announcements, and trusted medical news sources to identify the most significant developments in colorectal cancer research. We summarize these findings in clear, accessible language.
Our Sources
We curate from trusted sources including peer-reviewed journals (Journal of Clinical Oncology, NEJM, Lancet Oncology, Nature Medicine, Cancer Discovery, Annals of Oncology, Gut, Gastroenterology), clinical trial registries (ClinicalTrials.gov), regulatory agencies (FDA, EMA), medical news outlets (Medscape Oncology, Healio, STAT News), and research databases (PubMed).
Editorial Standards
Accuracy and transparency are foundational. Our standards include: source tracing (every claim links to a published source), evidence labeling (RCT, observational, preclinical, preprint), phase labeling (clinical trial phases always stated), statistical context (absolute numbers alongside relative risk), preprint flagging (non-peer-reviewed work clearly labeled), and AI transparency (we disclose our AI-assisted editorial process).
What We Are Not
The CRC Digest is not a medical provider. We do not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Please see our full Disclaimer.
Who We Serve
Our readers include patients and survivors, caregivers and family members, clinicians and researchers, and advocates working to improve CRC outcomes.
