Circulating tumor DNA may identify which patients benefit from chemotherapy after liver metastasis surgery

The phase II GALAXY study (298 patients) found that ctDNA testing 2-10 weeks after surgery for colorectal liver metastases could help predict which patients are most likely to benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy, though researchers note the evidence is not yet strong enough for routine use outside clinical trials.
