TRIAL DATA
Intensified Total Neoadjuvant Therapy Improves Survival in High-Risk Rectal CancerA Chinese phase III trial of 458 patients with high-risk locally advanced rectal cancer found that integrating long-course radiotherapy with uninterrupted capecitabine and oxaliplatin chemotherapy (doublet-LC TNT) achieved 3-year disease-free survival of 74.8% compared with 66.0% for conventional neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (hazard ratio = 0.674, P = .016).
