Liquid biopsy detects residual disease after oligometastasis surgery

A prospective multicenter study of 118 patients with resectable colorectal oligometastases found that combining pretreatment circulating tumor DNA genomic profiling with post-operative molecular residual disease (MRD) detection identified patients at highest risk of recurrence, with those positive for both markers showing a 13-fold higher risk.
