    AI-assisted colonoscopy improves adenoma detection by 22% in meta-analysis of 46 trials

    A systematic review of 46 randomized controlled trials involving 37,012 participants found that AI-assisted colonoscopy was associated with a 22% relative increase in adenoma detection rate (RR = 1.22, 95% CI = 1.17-1.27) and a 22% relative increase in polyp detection rate compared to conventional colonoscopy, though the authors noted very low certainty of evidence and lack of long-term outcome data.
