Trastuzumab Rezetecan Extends Progression-Free Survival in HER2-Positive Metastatic Colorectal Cancer

The phase III HORIZON-CRC-01 trial showed that the HER2-directed antibody-drug conjugate trastuzumab rezetecan improved median progression-free survival to 5.5 months versus 2.8 months with standard care in patients with chemotherapy-refractory, HER2-positive, RAS/RAF wild-type advanced colorectal cancer, representing a 67% reduction in the risk of disease progression or death. TIGIT+ CD4+ T Cells in Liver Metastases Linked to Shorter Survival

Flow cytometric profiling of 17 patients undergoing liver metastasectomy found that enrichment of TIGIT+ CD4+ T cells in colorectal cancer liver metastases was associated with shorter overall survival, highlighting differences in the immune microenvironment between liver metastases and primary tumors. Electronic Health Record Intervention Improves Colonoscopy Scheduling Intervals

An academic medical center implemented an EHR-based intervention to improve adherence to guideline-recommended 5-year intervals for screening and surveillance colonoscopies, addressing the common problem of procedures being scheduled earlier than recommended. (Gastro Hep Adv)

Pharmacist-Led Skin Toxicity Management for Anti-EGFR Therapy

A retrospective study of 95 patients receiving anti-EGFR antibodies for advanced or recurrent colorectal cancer evaluated pharmacist-led pre-consultation interviews for skin toxicity assessment, finding that pharmacist recommendations contributed to dermatological toxicity management and multidisciplinary care.
